Expecting Treeson to be available by July

It has come a long way and I am happy to announce that Treeson has entered into production stage. Since the idea of productizing Treeson conceived last year, there were many highs and lows. At one point we were really disappointed and frustrated. No matter how many times we revised the sculpt we just felt that it wasn’t the Treeson that Bubi and I was looking for. The model maker did a fine job from an engineering point of view and frankly we didn’t sure what was missing. Then, all of a sudden, a magical moment occurred in a weekend. I went out and brought a pack of paper clay from a $10 shop. I made a rough sculpt of Treeson following Bubi’s illustrations. I sent off a few pictures to Bubi, and boy does it look lovely! We love it so much and decided to proceed development based on this sculpt. I shared some photos of my clay model to the flickr community and received tremendous responses. I am not a profes sional sculptor but I guess it does make a difference when you put your heart on things that you do. I really proud of Treeson and I have to THANK every one of you that are reading this message. Without your support, I won’t be here to write you!

The good news is, you can get a Treeson starting from July. We have been working feverishly to make sure you can get it easily. In addition to ordering from Crazy Label directly, you may soon be able to buy a Treeson from retail stores in USA, UK and Australia. Please look for further news here for retail availability.

Just in case you didn’t know it already, Treeson will be premiered at this year’s Taipei Toy Festival. This is the first time you can see and touch Treeson in person. The artist Bubi Au Yeung will be there for signing and live painting custom Treeson for a few lucky guys. If you happen to be visiting Taipei in July, you don’t want to miss this cool event! Please drop by and say hi to Treeson and Bubi. We are in Crazy Label booth no. A14.

Even cooler, for those in US that couldn’t make it to Taipei, you can give a hug to Treeson in this year’s San Diego Comic Con! Look for Treeson from DKE Toys’ booth who is our exclusive distributor in the region.
